turn things around at Manchester United

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has asserted that he can return Manchester United to it glorious days after another massive defeat suffered by his men during their away Carabao game at Newcastle

Manchester were beaten 3-0 at St James Park by Newcastle, goals from Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Wilock handed Manchester Untied a consecutive defeat of 3-0’s in span of four days.

In his exclusive post match interview, Ten Hag spoke about the need to stick together at this difficult time.

“You only get your confidence when you take responsibility, and you fight, and you are winning and dictating the crowd. When you do that, you get results and from there you build your own confidence. Confidence is something that is in your own hands and that is individual, but, of course, you have to do it as a team. You have to stick together.”

The Dutch manager said he is confident he can turn things around:

“I understand that when the results are not there, it is a logical process to question [the manager]. But I am confident I can do it. With all my clubs I have done it and also last year I did it here as well. In this moment, we are in a bad place. I take responsibility for it. I see it as a challenge.”

Furthermore,Ten Hag appreciated the fans who have shown resilience and massive support despite their poor run:

“Thank you that you are behind us. In these difficult moments, you are still behind us. We don’t deserve it at this moment because we are not giving top performances. We are trying. But trying is not good enough in top football. We know that. We have to do things better and we have to raise our standards.”
