With his street music, which blends hip-hop, party-starting Afrobeats, and his Bini culture, Shallipopi is one of the breakout stars of Nigerian music in 2023. His hit singles pushed him into the mainstream.
Nigerians were taken aback on October 17, 2023, by the rapidly rising artist’s announcement of his own record label, Plutomania Records. In addition to announcing the debut of Plutomania Records and the signing of two new artists, Zerryl and Tega Boi, to the label, Shallipopi, who is signed to Dapper Music, made this announcement.

With his EP “Planet Pluto,” which included the hits “Elon Musk,” “Obapluto,” and “Ex-Convict,” Shallipopi experienced incredible popularity in 2023.
In a list made to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary, Shallipopi was named one of the five rapidly emerging artists on Apple Music. He was mentioned next to fellow 2023 breakout star ODUMODU BLVCK, who took home the Rookie of the Year trophy from the 2023 Headies. Seyi Vibez, who received the Best Street Hop song award for “Chance,” Bayyani, a rising star on the Mavin roster, and gospel music phenomenon Victor Thompson are also included on the list.
Two new songs from Shallipopi, “Things on Things” and “Oscroh,” were just released. The latter song peaked at number one on both Spotify’s Nigeria Top 50 and Apple Music Nigeria Top 100.
Shallipopi is prepared to prolong his hold on the popular scene, as seen by the launch of his record company and the introduction of his newest signs.
