Colombian pop star Shakira will perform at the 2024 Copa America final.
Shakira will perform during halftime at the final on Sunday, July 14, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
“Shakira is an amazing South American star who has impressed the whole world,” said Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, in a statement on Tuesday.
“We believe her performance at the Copa América USA 2024 will promote healthy passion and unity through sport,” he added.
Shakira has previously performed at big events like the Super Bowl and three World Cups.
The 2024 Copa America final will feature the winners of two semifinal matches: Argentina vs. Canada and Uruguay vs. Colombia.
54,000 people are expected to attend the final.
