According to reports, a bus conveying students from a top Kenyan university collided with a truck on a busy highway after plunging in heavy rain, leading to the death of 11 of them and leaving 42 others with severe injuries.
It was gathered that the accident happened at 5:50 pm on Monday, March 18, at Maungu, 360 kilometres from the capital Nairobi, when the students from Kenyatta University were travelling to the coastal town of Mombasa.
Ten persons from the Kenyan university lost their lives on the spot while one other died later at a health facility.
