A dramatic scene unfolded at the party secretariat after a man who claimed to be a long-time supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) stormed the premises, demanding compensation for what he described as years of personal sacrifice.
The man, visibly distressed, alleged that he sold his house and spent over N30 million backing the party during the 2023 elections.
He further claimed that the fallout from his political commitment has left him destitute, saying he is now homeless and struggling to survive.
In a more shocking allegation, he said his wife had died and that he no longer knows the whereabouts of his children, whom he claimed he once left in the care of a “CSO at the APC” because he could no longer afford to cater for them.
As he narrated his ordeal to bystanders, he was repeatedly asked who had sent him to make such sacrifices.
“Who sent you?” one person queried.
In response, he pointed to his APC T-shirt, emblazoned with the faces of party leaders.
“See the people wey send me,” he said bitterly.
