Relocation of agencies to Lagos praised by Northern group

The Arewa United Consultative Forum (AUCF) strongly criticizes those opposing the Federal Government’s decision to relocate the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and some Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) departments from Abuja to Lagos.

The AUCF National President, Alhaji Shuaibu Ado Dansudu, argues that northerners supporting such objections are selfish individuals working against the unity of Nigeria and are detrimental to the North.

Speaking in Lagos, Dansudu believes that the relocation was done with good intentions to improve the operational conditions of FAAN and CBN departments for better efficiency.

He suggests that reversing what he sees as a detrimental policy from a past administration is a positive move that should be praised by northerners, rather than condemned.

Dansudu emphasizes that the primary concern for the people in the northern part of the country is insecurity, not the relocation of federal agencies.

He expresses concern about the economic challenges faced by the north due to the activities of terrorists and emphasizes the need to focus on addressing these substantial issues.

While acknowledging the problems faced by the northern region, Dansudu urges northerners to support the government’s efforts to correct past mistakes rather than resist the relocation of FAAN.

He argues that the departments were historically located in Lagos and bringing them back would be beneficial for economic productivity.

Despite their concerns, the AUCF President appeals to the government to expedite measures for economic stability, assuring that his group will support any positive initiatives that aim to transform the lives of the northern people.

Dansudu emphasizes that the AUCF is committed to the unity of the country, echoing the principles laid down by the founding fathers.

He pledges to pursue the group’s objectives without bias and in the best interest of all Nigerians. Additionally, Dansudu expresses support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reformation efforts, expressing confidence in Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima’s economic expertise to navigate the country out of its current economic challenges.

Dansudu advises the government to stay focused on its objectives and warns against any distracting forces, urging all individuals to embrace patriotism and collaborate with the government for the quick improvement of the country for the benefit of all citizens.
