Lawyer abducted in Keffi, N50m ransom demanded

Last night, Garba Armi Esq, a senior Lawyer and Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Keffi, was kidnapped from his residence in Angwa Kare, Keffi, Nasarawa State, which is near the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The incident occurred around 11:30 pm when armed kidnappers forcefully entered the senior lawyer’s house, amidst a barrage of gunshots. the perpetrators swiftly abducted him from his home.

In the aftermath of the abduction, Barrister Nuhu Igya, the Chairman of the NBA Keffi branch, shared that the family of the senior lawyer received a distressing call this morning from the kidnappers.

Shockingly, the callers demanded a ransom of Fifty Million Naira (N50,000,000.00) for the safe release of the kidnapped lawyer.

Expressing his concern and condemnation, the NBA Chairman, Barrister Nuhu Igya, emphasized the gravity of the situation and urged security agencies to take swift and decisive action to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped lawyer.

The incident highlights the increasing security challenges faced by legal professionals and the broader community, calling for urgent measures to address and curb such criminal activities.
