A clip of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels spotted in a wheelchair at an airport has led some social media users to blame her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, for her illness, even though no reputable report offers evidence for the claim. Neither Regina Daniels nor Ned Nwoko has addressed it.
The night video shows a staff member pushing Daniels across the tarmac toward a plane. She wore a dark jacket, a black face mask and sunglasses. The blog TheTattleRoomNg first shared it.
Three days earlier, on 10 October, Regina turned 25 and posted an Instagram video from a wheelchair. She said her condition began as a minor problem and worsened after her Children’s Day carnival.
Following the incident, she underwent repeated medical tests to the point that she jokingly regarded herself as a “lab rat” at one point.
“I lost my freedom to move around as I please,” she said. She said she walks well on some days and cannot move on others. She has not named a diagnosis, but she said she has seen signs of recovery.
The following day, on 11 October, Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the Senate, posted an Instagram video of a Sports Day with Regina Daniels’ two sons, Munir (born 2020) and Khalifa (born 2022).
“I loved seeing them take on something completely new,” he wrote, making no mention of Regina Daniels. The song “Before Before” by Davido and Mayorkun, featuring Fola, reportedly played in the background. Some commenters defended Nwoko as a devoted father and urged Daniels to return to the marriage. Others sided with her.
However, some fans now point to Nwoko because her illness began after the couple separated. Some claimed she took a traditional oath when they married. Her brother, Swezzy, rejected that claim during the 2025 marital dispute. “Nothing like a stupid oath,” he wrote. Other fans claimed Nwoko placed a curse on her. For now, these claims are general theories, as they lack supporting evidence.

Regina married Nwoko in 2019. The marriage collapsed between late 2025 and early 2026. On 18 October 2025, a video showed her accusing him of domestic violence at their home. Nwoko accused her of long-term drug abuse. His team later confirmed that leaked medical reports about her were authentic and said she needs consistent treatment. Regina ruled out remarriage in May. Her mother, Rita Daniels, has denied rumors that the couple reconciled.
