Quit Your Job If Your Wife Earns More -Comedian Ali Baba Slams Insecure Men

Veteran comedian Ali Baba has advised that insecure men should be the ones quitting their jobs, rather than pressuring their partners to leave theirs just because they earn more.

Ali Baba shared his thoughts while responding to a popular story about a man who forced his wife to quit her job because her salary was higher than his. The comedian questioned whether the story was true and pointed out that men like this often base their self-worth on how much money they make, feeling threatened when their wives are more successful.

In a post on Instagram, Ali Baba argued that it’s the man who should quit his job, not the wife. He said, “Who are these women falling for such nonsense? If you earn more than your man, let him quit his job. It’s ridiculous! Why are people spreading these silly ideas?”

He continued, “If a woman is earning N10 million a month and her husband only makes N1.5 million, why should she quit her job? It’s clear that the man’s confidence is tied to money. Insecurities like that are just nonsense.”

He then gave an example, asking if Oprah Winfrey’s partner, Stedman, would ever tell her to quit her job. He concluded by saying that men should focus on improving themselves instead of letting financial status define their self-esteem.
