Nollywood actress Priscilla Ojo has dismissed reports that her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, has an ex-girlfriend still pursuing him, calling the story unverified.
The denial follows a week of overlapping family news involving Priscilla, her mother Iyabo Ojo, and Iyabo’s rekindled friendship with a woman once linked to her rival, actress Lizzy Anjorin.
Priscilla organized a birthday party for Juma Jux to mark his 37th year. Shortly after, an Instagram account under the name Bad Girl Udaku posted old photographs of herself with the singer, captioned “Happy birthday baba Rakeem.” During a question-and-answer session on the same account, a follower asked why she would not leave a married man alone. The reply read, in part, “Coz I truly love him.” A second follower asked if she had moved on. The account answered, “Coz I still love him,” and referred to Jux as her boyfriend.
Several Nigerian entertainment blogs published the exchange as a genuine confession. It later emerged that the account belonged to a Tanzanian blog rather than an actual former partner. Priscilla responded on her page, telling outlets to verify information before publishing it and accusing them of dragging uninvolved people into invented conflict.
At the birthday event, Iyabo Ojo addressed guests directly, describing what persuaded her to accept Juma Jux into the family. She said his devotion to his relatives stood out to her during her own inquiries before the marriage, telling the crowd it was “the love he has for family.” She added that meeting him in person matched, and went beyond, what she had learned about him beforehand. Iyabo closed her remarks with prayers for the couple’s marriage, his music career, and their household.
A separate matter drew criticism toward Iyabo Ojo days earlier. At her grandson Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala’s birthday party in Lagos on August 29, 2026, guests included Elizabeth Obanla, known as Obanla Lizzy, formerly described as Lizzy Anjorin’s godmother. A fan questioned the invitation online, alleging Obanla had once aligned herself against Iyabo and her children, and accused the actress of seeking public attention rather than guarding her privacy. Reactions online were divided, with some users defending the decision as strategic and others calling it a lapse in judgment.

Obanla addressed the criticism on September 1, 2026, publishing photographs from 2013 and 2014 to show her friendship with Iyabo predates the falling-out with Anjorin. She wrote that Iyabo remains her “junior sister” and would always choose her over newer acquaintances. Iyabo replied in the comments, “We have come a long way, thank God for life,” confirming the two remain close.
