Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has thrown down the gauntlet to veteran musician Terry G, challenging him to a celebrity boxing match while claiming the bout would revive the older artiste’s career.
Portable made the challenge during an appearance on Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds on Sunday.
According to the self-styled “celebrity boxing pioneer,” he has no interest in fighting social media personalities such as VeryDarkMan and Carter Efe, insisting he prefers facing fellow entertainers.
“If I fight Terry G, people will remember him. I prefer facing fellow entertainers. I have no interest in fighting social media personalities, including VeryDarkMan and Carter Efe,” he said.
The singer also boasted that celebrity boxing has become a lucrative venture for him, claiming he has earned millions of naira from his previous fights.
Looking ahead, Portable expressed confidence about his scheduled rematch with actor Charles Okocha on July 31 in Lagos, predicting the event would draw a massive crowd.
He further revealed ambitious plans beyond the ring.
“If I defeat Terry G, I will travel to London before embarking on a tour of the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa,” he added.
