Police In Delta Parades 2 Suspects For Stealing Church Instruments

The Delta State Police Command has paraded two suspects alleged to have stolen church instruments belonging to the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

While stressing that the suspects are infamous for strings of church break-ins across Delta state, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, who revealed this to newsmen in Asaba added that the suspects who specialize in burgling churches, shops and homes are notorious and serial thieves.

The Delta State PPRO maintained that the arrest of one Patrick Emete, who posted one of the stolen amplifiers for sale on his Facebook page resulted to the arrest of his associate, Alex Uwagbafor (45) at New Era Clinic, Deco Road, Warri, Delta State.

He reeled out items recovered from suspects to include twenty big loudspeakers, three generator sets, one complete drum set, 15 large mixer amplifiers, four keyboards, 12 power amplifiers, ten industrial standing fans.

Edafe disclosed that while the suspects face prosecution upon conclusion of investigations, the force would make frantic efforts to recover more stolen items.
