A recent presidential campaign poster featuring Peter Obi, the former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, and Bukola Saraki, a former Senate President, has sparked significant discussion online.
The poster suggests a potential alliance for the 2027 presidential election, with Saraki as the presidential candidate and Obi as his running mate. The slogan accompanying the poster reads, “Let’s restore our country back, come 2027.”

However, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has quickly dismissed the poster as a “figment of people’s imagination.” Yunusa Tanko, the spokesperson for the group, addressed the situation, stating, “It’s just people’s imagination. There’s no hint of a presidential run, but we’re working for the good of the people.”
Despite the speculation generated by the poster, neither Peter Obi nor Bukola Saraki has officially declared any intention to run for the presidency in 2027.
Saraki remains a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while Obi continues to be an active member of the Labour Party, having defected from the PDP during the lead-up to the 2023 presidential election.
The emergence of the poster has stirred conversations about possible future political alignments, but for now, both leaders have distanced themselves from the speculated candidacy, focusing instead on their current roles and responsibilities.
