Peller and Jarvis’s Wedding Draws Support from Victor Osimhen, Others

Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, and his fiancée Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, are drawing attention across the entertainment industry as they prepare for their wedding, with celebrities requesting aso ebi, fans speculating about a pregnancy, and a public debate over Peller’s education following the couple.

The pair held their traditional introduction ceremony in Benin, Edo State, last month. A full wedding ceremony is planned for later this year, and the couple has already begun sending aso ebi to friends and public figures.

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen spoke with Peller by video call on Thursday, July 2, and congratulated him on the coming wedding. Osimhen asked to be sent his aso ebi along with account details so he could contribute financially, saying he would send representatives to the event if his schedule kept him away. “I wish you guys the best,” he told Peller during the call.

Afrobeats artist Naira Marley made a similar request after meeting the couple at a football session with singer Zinoleesky. During the brief exchange, Naira Marley turned his attention to Jarvis, who remained quiet, and asked her directly, “Jarvis, are you okay?” Peller answered on her behalf. The simple moment was captured on a livestream and has since drawn a wide range of reactions online, with some viewers noting Jarvis’s silence.

Socialite Cubana Chief Priest also spoke with Peller by phone about wedding arrangements, including the use of a car Chief Priest recently purchased for the ceremony.

Rumors that the couple is expecting a child grew after Cubana Chief Priest, while consoling Peller over separate criticism, referred in passing to Peller “expecting a child.” Peller ended the call shortly after and asked his cameraman whether the microphone had been muted.

The remark followed an earlier moment in which Jarvis appeared to reference a child while speaking with a friend during a livestream, before correcting herself. Neither Peller nor Jarvis has publicly confirmed a pregnancy.

The wedding preparations have unfolded alongside a public dispute over Peller’s education. Rapper YCee had described a rise in low-value online content as an “olodo uprising,” using Peller as an example. Peller responded by dismissing YCee’s music. In a later interview with Cool FM Lagos, YCee stood by the comment and declined to apologize.

During a visit to fashion designer Seyi Vodi’s office as part of wedding preparations, Vodi advised Peller to return to school, telling him, “It will give you confidence as a graduate.” Vodi added that studying would not require Peller to stop streaming. Peller initially joked that he would study Basic Science before saying he intends to study Law.

No official wedding date has been announced. The couple continues to distribute aso ebi ahead of the ceremony, and speculation around both the guest list and the pregnancy rumors is expected to continue in the coming weeks.
