PayPal Outage Disrupts Services for Thousands Globally

—

PayPal users across the globe faced disruptions on Thursday as a widespread service outage left many unable to access their accounts.

By midday, over 6,000 reports of login problems were recorded on Down Detector, with a significant portion of users expressing frustration on social media.

The outage began around 11:00 am GMT, affecting both the mobile app and website.

Users attempting to log in encountered repeated error messages, prompting concerns about the platform’s security.

Many speculated that the issue might be related to a cyberattack, but no evidence has emerged to support these fears.

The disruption triggered a surge of online complaints as customers shared their experiences.

Some initially suspected their accounts had been hacked, while others voiced their frustration over the inability to reach PayPal’s support team for assistance.

Although the exact cause remains unclear, PayPal has yet to issue a statement addressing the situation.

As the platform is widely relied upon for personal and business transactions, the prolonged outage has caused inconvenience to users globally.

Customers are now awaiting updates from the company, hoping for a resolution and reassurance about the safety of their accounts.
