Passionate leaves, plummeting, fresh and green,
Atop the black soil full of nutrients,
Soaked with natures blessing- strong and keen,
Struggling with repression and colonist opposition trains
Inflicting wickedness and punishment with obsession
On dark skin people, old and young,
On their own soil,
Nearly extincting ethnic groups, races, tribes,
Africa- by setting them up against themselves
Through blackmails, jealous schemes, false information, long throat,
Envy, divide-and-rule, exploitation, civil wars etc.
Africa still weeps for Lumumba:
For her kind, children mutilated for expression,
Revolting, against being trodden upon- like a mamba,
Intoxicated, by their dreams- Dreams! Dreams of Freedom,
Cut off, lives cut short by America, Belgium, France – their lives broken,
Assassinated, dissembled, shut up, bodies soaked in sulphuric acid.
Teach your children history and truth!
Educate them! Let the words be scribbled on pages on their heart.
Acknowledge and reveal the blood that spilled, soaking African’s story.
Counter the plot to eliminate these atrocities, and
Haunting deeds perpetrated by the Evil colonists.
Raw words, spoken, coming out from the soul’s pouch,
At its will, not with anger but displeasure from
Wounds, licked, egos pricked, pride kicked, Africans killed.
Inks, indicting the weak crown, insulting Elizabeth and Leopold:
Nuisance wicked crowned stools- watch them come for my life!
Knowledge is power, not cutting people’s limbs,
Subjecting and enslaving them and no stories told.
Colonialism left great Africa hiding and running
On barefoot, innocently absorbing nature and her energy;
Lustfully, visualizing the future and torches burning
Out of the soul, with strength victorious than forces,
Neptitudal; naiveness and anxiety for an object
Instituted and placed for worship- like Religion
And education, and Europeans who brought them- putting them in subjections-
Leveraging on their ignoble populace and legions
Interested only in reverencing and showing them their fears,
Sorrows, weakness, greed, hate, poverty, ashes, beauty-
Mother was deeply wounded! Africa was looted and raped.
Executioners dressed in uniforms and clothing, assigned with a weapon:
X, the target marked to aim and kill- a human,
Ending a life you never created- is bloodshed,
Cutting short the existence of a library: Is ignorance
Undermining and exploiting people on their own soil? Isn’t evil-
Treating humans unfairly and abusively for their complexion? Doesn’t Satan
Indebt, emotionally blackmail and place children in cages and chains,
On schools, churches, on steam-ships, leaving their family, culture, and lands behind:
Necks chained, eyes folded, mouths clipped with iron- slavery!
Extreme conditions and situations results to anger, depression,
Rage, resentment, resistance, rebellion, revolution,
Speaking out in expressivism- but our tooth is taken and our mouths barred forever with death.
AFTERMATH
Longevity is not a blessing but an indirect curse
On a life, long, with no impact
Nor expression, is like a young life blown away,
Grave- rejected, and vomited for innocence:
Earth cannot bear (she could not swallow the truth);
It raised its foot up above her in proclaimatory sign,
Victorious from oppression, (victory for a voice who wanted justice
In spite of the dangers and risks- a voice firm & strong
Trampled upon by manipulation and injustice, and jealousy):
Years of pain, time and trouble is killed when a young man is murdered.
Unexplainable philosophy and logic of Man,
Never fathomable- deep as ocean tides,
Ending at the shores of his life span.
X, rotated and revolved looks like x, while six- nine:
Plaintively, what appears best looks strange,
Least may appease you- what matters is we
Attaining responsibility and understanding, believing
In one flesh, and blood, like Jesus Christ
Near death, was compassionate, still, and forgiving,
Activating our purpose and redemption from death’s
Beastly claws- like rot, envy, cancer, diseases
Laid He on the cross- His blood cleansing
Everlastingly from the woes and worry of living.
Mobutu- the puppet
Of war, the innocent
Bride on her white robes,
Unveiled: full with infidelity:
Tyrant, unworthy of a good death-
Utilized and used as a tool of plundering and eating its children.
Uganda, Tanzania, and Liberia,
Gambia, Morocco and Ivory Coast,
Angola, Togo, Mali, Ghana, Burundi, Algeria,
Namibia, Guinea, Kenya, Biafra, Ethiopia,
Destitute Nigeria- living on bloodshed and corruption-
Across the shores of Africa- Bloodshed and Ignorance!
Man is like mathematics- a knowledgeable kind.
An example is the operation and the principle of the mind.
Nobody knows its location, schemes or can find.
Black Africa, beautiful shades of brown!
Lustful and energetic, glistening like the sun,
And blessed beyond all continents without lack,
Consumed by colonists with flames burning, mortars
Killing, suppressing, judging, cutting off-
And raping, molesting our mothers and wives
For no just cause, on our own soil
Repressing us and forcing us into mines,
Institutionalized systems and yokes strapped upon
Children, ours, who were born happy, innocent,
And free- but had their fingers, hands and limbs broken.
Africa!
Friend to her enemies and oppressors: tricked into
Revolting against her own self, down-trodden
In confusion, frustration, sedation,
Consumed by slavery, freedom and victory.
Africa! No more killing – Africa!
