A patient, identified as Saba Elizabeth, has reportedly escaped from the Idi-Aba Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta, Ogun State to avoid footing her medical bills.

Saba, who was said to have been treating an undisclosed illness, absconded from the health facility on Saturday, December 2nd 2023, due to lack of money to fund her medical bills.

Report says that she was admitted to the hospital’s gynecology unit on November 11, 2023, and was supposedly scheduled to be discharged on November 16, 2023 but she was prevented from leaving the health center due to her inability to pay for services rendered.
