One Soldier Killed as Boko Haram Razes Police Outpost, Health Centre in Borno

Boko Haram terrorists have razed a police outpost, a primary healthcare centre and two classrooms in Logomani community, Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State, following a deadly attack that also claimed the life of a soldier.

The insurgents reportedly stormed the community after launching an assault on the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Logomani, opening sporadic fire to force residents to flee before setting the public facilities ablaze.

Confirming the attack, the Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force North-East Operation Hadin Kai, Capt. Muhammed Goni, said troops stationed at the FOB under Sector One successfully repelled the assault.

He disclosed that although one soldier was killed during the encounter, two military gun trucks and some combat enablers were damaged in the fierce exchange of fire.
