Olori Ashley Folashade, one of the wives of Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has announced that her son is now the crown prince of the palace.
In a recent Instagram video, she shared highlights from her pregnancy journey and the birth of her baby boy.
She explained that her son holds dual royal titles. On his mother’s side, he is a prince of the Lafogido ruling family. On his father’s side, he is a prince of the Giesi royal compound, known as Ooni Agbedegbede’s lineage. This unique heritage merges both families into the prestigious Oduduwa royal throne at Ile-Ife.

Olori Ashley expressed her gratitude with the following message:
“Oba tón gbọ ekún aládúrà, ese Olódùmarè. Thank you, Olodumare, for a wonderful pregnancy journey that was deeply special for my husband and me. We successfully kept it private to honor Olodumare. To my incredibly supportive husband @ooniadimulaife, thank you for being my rock through this journey with your daily prayers. You are my world, my crown jewel, and my everything.”
She also thanked her personal assistant:
“To my amazing PA @obanewo_, thank you for managing everything for me during the final months as we prepared our esteemed crown prince. My son is a prince from both sides: the Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of the Lafogido ruling house through his mother and the Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of the Giesi ruling house through his father. This union brings together the royal heritage of Oduduwa.”
