NSUK and MEWAR International University Forge Strategic Academic Alliance with New MoU

—

In a significant move to bolster academic innovation and institutional growth, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) and MEWAR International University, Karu, have formally entered into a partnership through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The agreement, sealed during a recent ceremony at the NSUK Council Chamber, establishes a framework for comprehensive collaboration, including the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and facilities between the two neighbouring institutions.

Hosting the delegation from MEWAR, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, described the MoU as a “significant milestone.” She emphasized that the partnership lays a strong foundation for mutual institutional development and positions MEWAR as a key strategic partner in the pursuit of academic excellence.

“We are pleased to formalize this relationship with a neighbouring institution,” stated Professor Liman. “This agreement will enable us to pool resources, share best practices, and create enhanced opportunities for our students and faculty.”

Representing the Vice-Chancellor of MEWAR International University, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olabode Agunbiade, thanked NSUK for its warm reception. He provided an overview of MEWAR’s achievements, academic programmes, and faculties, expressing strong optimism for the collaboration.

“This MoU represents a pivotal step in strengthening our academic and research pursuits,” Professor Agunbiade said. “We look forward to a robust and mutually beneficial partnership that will elevate the educational landscape for both our communities.”

The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the MoU document by the heads of both universities, symbolizing a shared commitment to advancing collaborative teaching, research, and learning initiatives. The signed agreement was displayed to attendees, marking the official commencement of the partnership.

The ceremony concluded with NSUK presenting an official souvenir pack to the MEWAR management team. The pack contained key documents and materials outlining NSUK’s profile and offerings.

This partnership is expected to foster interdisciplinary research, facilitate faculty and student exchange programmes, and promote joint academic ventures, ultimately contributing to the growth and internationalization of both universities.
