Northern group urges Nigerians to blame Buhari, not Tinubu, for hardship

—

The Civil Society For Credible Election, a group hailing from the northern region of Nigeria, has asserted that when it comes to the issues plaguing the nation, the responsibility lies more with the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, rather than with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

They believe that Buhari should bear the brunt of the blame for the country’s challenges, rather than directing it towards Tinubu.

This perspective emphasizes the significance of understanding the roles and impacts of past leaders on the current state of affairs in Nigeria.

The leader of the group, Hon. Aliyu Umar, talked to reporters in Kano and explained that Tinubu’s administration inherited challenges from Buhari’s time as president.

Umar said Tinubu has been working hard to fix these problems with various plans and actions. He asked Nigerians to be patient because things will improve soon.

He said, “We know Nigerians are facing difficulties now. It’s partly because of global economic problems, but also because of mistakes made by the previous administration under former president Muhammadu Buhari.

“What people should understand is that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu got these problems from Buhari’s time as president, but Tinubu is determined to solve them.

“Nigerians can see the steps and plans Tinubu’s administration has taken to improve our country in different areas like society, economy, and politics.

“Tinubu needs patience, cooperation, and understanding from all Nigerians. The reforms and plans of his administration are good and will make Nigeria better soon,” Umar said.
