Governor Lawal visits Zamfara communities ravaged by Bandits

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, went to communities hit by bandits. He wants to stop insecurity in the state.

Last week, bandits attacked Nassarawan Zurmi in Zurmi and Nasarawan Godel in Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas.

A statement from the Governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the visit was to support the affected people and give condolences to families who lost loved ones.

The Governor showed support to the communities, promising to find a lasting solution to the security problem.

He inspected the police station burnt by bandits in Nasarawan Zurmi. He promised to help the police so they can keep working.

The Governor expressed sadness for two officers who died during the attack. He praised the troops fighting bandits and promised to support them.

“I would like to express my heartfelt condolences for the two officers who lost their lives during the recent attack by bandits in Nasarawan Zurmi.

“I understand how devastating this incident must have been for everyone involved and I want to assure you that my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the fallen officers and the entire community.

In Zurmi LGA, the Governor visited the Emir, His Royal Highness Alhaji Bello Sulaiman.

In Nasarawan Godal, Birnin Magaji Local Government Area, the Governor assured people that he sent relief materials after the attack.

He said, “I’m here to comfort grieving families and show the government’s commitment to people’s safety.”

On his way back to Gusau, the Governor stopped at Kasuwan Daji in Kauran Namoda Local Government Area to visit Alhaji Hamisu Kasuwan Daji, whose house was attacked by bandits.
