Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that no infrastructure project will be abandoned under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, reaffirming the government’s commitment to completing ongoing developments across the nation’s capital.
Wike gave the assurance on Thursday after inspecting the ongoing construction of the dual carriageway linking Nile University to Ring Road III, as well as the full-scale development of Arterial Road N1 from Wuye District to Ring Road II in Abuja.
The minister declared that the current administration has adopted a zero-tolerance policy toward abandoned projects, adding that most of the ongoing infrastructure works would be completed and delivered before the end of December.

“I have said before, no project will be abandoned under Tinubu’s administration, and we are keeping that promise,” Wike said.
According to him, the Federal Government is committed to ending the long-standing culture of abandoned public infrastructure while accelerating the delivery of critical projects to residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
“This is part of a broader effort by the Tinubu administration to clear the backlog of stalled infrastructure projects and fulfil its promises to FCT residents,” he said.
The minister noted that several projects awarded as far back as 2010 had already been completed, while work was progressing steadily on the remaining ones.

Wike also assured residents that the ongoing construction of the N20 Bridge over the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Expressway would be completed as scheduled.
“Is there any project that we have started and abandoned? We are ensuring that all ongoing projects are completed, and those awarded by this administration will also be delivered.
“Just be patient; every project will be completed,” he said.
The minister commended the contractors handling the projects for maintaining quality standards and urged them to sustain the pace of work to ensure timely delivery.
