The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), along with the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) and other key security agencies, have joined forces to tackle the pressing security threats of terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry in Nigeria.
The collaborative effort will see the deployment of cutting-edge digital solutions, including drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and various other digital assets.

Cisco International, renowned for its expertise in designing digital platforms for the US military, has been enlisted to contribute to the project.
Their involvement promises to bring invaluable insights and capabilities to the table, further strengthening Nigeria’s security infrastructure.
During an interactive session with reporters at the Hotel Continental, Abuja, the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, unveiled the Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (2024-2027).
This roadmap is meticulously crafted to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, reflecting a comprehensive approach to address the nation’s security challenges.
Abdullahi emphasized that the partnership with DHQ and other security agencies, alongside Cisco International, opens up opportunities for robust engagement, innovations, and the co-creation of digital technology solutions.
Together, they aim to effectively combat terrorism, kidnapping, and other security threats, ushering in a safer and more secure Nigeria.
This collaborative effort reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology and strategic partnerships to safeguard the nation’s peace and stability.
