Nigeria Police Force Warns Public Over Fake “Free Application” Recruitment Scam

—

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has issued an urgent public safety warning regarding a fraudulent online publication advertising a purported “Nigerian Police Free Application.”

The scam targets unsuspecting job seekers by directing them to unauthorized websites where they are instructed to submit personal information under the guise of fake recruitment opportunities.

In an official disclaimer, Force authorities categorically stated that the publication did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force and must be disregarded in its entirety.

“Members of the public are advised not to click on the associated links, submit personal information, or make any payment in connection with the fraudulent advertisement,” the NPF warned.
The Force emphasized that all genuine recruitment information and official communications are published exclusively through verified NPF channels and authorized recruitment platforms. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant, verify announcements through official portals, and report suspicious links to the appropriate authorities to avoid falling victim to cybercrime and identity theft.
