NGF Chairman Abdulrazaq Visits Niger State Tanker Explosion Scene, Describes Incident as Tragic

The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on Saturday visited the site of the petrol tanker explosion in Niger State.

He described the incident as both tragic and deeply saddening.

In a statement on Saturday Night, Governor Abdulrazaq expressed shock over the high number of casualties and the severe burns sustained by survivors.

“The Forum is deeply saddened by the petrol tanker explosion in Niger State, which has claimed many lives and left others injured,” the statement read.

He extended condolences to Governor Umar Bago, the affected families, and all those injured in the explosion.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones, and we wish the injured a swift recovery,” the statement added.

Governor Abdulrazaq also urged citizens to exercise extreme caution, especially during hazardous situations like petrol spills, to avoid further loss of life.

“The Forum prays for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and stands in solidarity with those affected by this devastating incident,” he concluded.
