The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has denied reports that the Super Eagles would be moved from Uyo to Lagos for their upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania.
The Super Eagles have been disappointing since their shocking 3 nil defeat to Guinea Bissau, so they need to start winning soon.
An unnamed NFF official said Uyo still remains their preferred venue because shifting them to another stadium just before a competitive match would disrupt their preparations.

The News Chronicle reports that the federation may consider Lagos for future matches after assessing the condition of Teslim Balogun Stadium, consulting players and testing the venue through friendly games.
The official added that the stadium was not yet ready for international fixtures and would require inspection after renovation work is completed.
The Super Eagles are expected to host Tanzania in Uyo on November 11, with the return leg tentatively scheduled for November 15 in Zanzibar.
Meanwhile, the NFF and head coach Eric Chelle’s technical crew have begun assessing players for the double header. The final squad announcement and camp dates will depend on the match schedule approved by the Confederation of African Football and the availability of players.
