NFF Responds to Chelle’s Contract Demands, Says Coach Already Has Abuja Residence

The Nigeria Football Federation has reacted to fresh contract demands reportedly tabled by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, stating that the coach is already provided with furnished accommodation in Abuja.

Last week, reports emerged that Chelle submitted a 19-point proposal outlining conditions for an extended stay with the national team.

The requests allegedly include a monthly salary of 130,000 dollars, a private SUV with a chauffeur and security, uninterrupted electricity at his residence, and a fully equipped office space with internet and analysis tools.

Speaking on the development, NFF Secretary General Dr Mohammed Sanusi confirmed that the federation has already provided the coach with housing, a vehicle, and a driver in Abuja.

He did not comment in detail on the other demands but indicated that discussions would follow due process.

The News Chronicle understands that the federation’s technical committee is expected to review the new terms before making recommendations to the board, especially as Chelle still has one year left on his current contract.

Sources within the football body suggest the proposed salary adjustment and expanded benefits are key sticking points.

With formal renewal talks yet to begin, the coming weeks could shape the future of the Super Eagles’ technical leadership.
