NELFUND Disburses ₦641 Million in Student Loans to Four Institutions

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦641,945,385.00 in student loans to four institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session, benefiting 5,375 students.

The institutions include Ekiti State University, Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Division of Agricultural Colleges, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic.

Ekiti State University received ₦309,315,625.00 for 1,093 students.

While Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil received ₦314,128,560.00 for 3,858 students.

Division of Agricultural Colleges, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria: ₦9,428,500.00 for 272 students, making it their 5th tranche.

Similarly, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic received ₦9,072,700.00 for 152 students.

NELFUND aims to alleviate students’ financial burdens and promote inclusive access to higher education. The agency has disbursed over ₦184 billion to 1.5 million students across 265 institutions since its inception.
