NDLEA Warns Nigerians Over Fake Recruitment

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has explicitly stated that it is not in the process of recruiting new workers.
This declaration comes in response to reports of a publication circulating, falsely claiming that the agency is conducting recruitment.
Mr. Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy for the agency, conveyed this message during a briefing with journalists in Abuja.
“While we are taking necessary measures to unravel the people behind the publication, members of the public are advised to avoid being scammed.”
He underscored the importance of caution among members of the public, urging them to be vigilant against falling victim to employment scams.
Babafemi emphasized that the NDLEA is actively investigating the origin of the misleading publication, aiming to identify those responsible for spreading false information about recruitment opportunities within the agency.
He urged individuals to exercise discretion and refrain from engaging in any unauthorized recruitment schemes claiming affiliation with the NDLEA.
Furthermore, the NDLEA spokesperson reiterated that any legitimate recruitment activities undertaken by the agency would be formally announced through official channels.
He assured the public that information regarding recruitment processes would be disseminated solely through the NDLEA’s official website and verified social media platforms.
This measure aims to ensure transparency and prevent individuals from being misled by fraudulent recruitment schemes.
The NDLEA has categorically denied engaging in any recruitment activities at present and has cautioned the public against falling prey to employment scams.
They have pledged to communicate any future recruitment initiatives exclusively through their official channels, aiming to protect individuals from misinformation and fraudulent schemes.
“In due time, any information about recruitment will be shared on our website and our official social media platforms alone.”
