Renowned singer Davido recently shared on an American podcast called ‘Business Untitled’ that his family plays a significant role in providing electricity to a large part of Nigeria.
He mentioned that his family owns four power plants that contribute to the country’s energy supply.
In addition to discussing his family’s business ventures, Davido also mentioned his personal interests. He talked about briefly exploring cryptocurrency due to its popularity in Nigeria and mentioned plans to open a restaurant for his wife. However, he emphasized that his primary focus remains on his music career, which he loves.

It’s worth noting that while Davido comes from a wealthy family with investments in the energy sector, some may question the extent of their contribution to Nigeria’s energy supply. The majority of the country’s major thermal and hydropower plants are owned by the government.
