Haaland hit his 15th goal of the season after taking advantage of Allison Becker’s poor pull-out. Ake’s brilliant push and assist got the Norwegian the first goal in the highly intensified game in the 26th minute. After a pulsating 45 minutes, Manchester City led by a lone goal scored by Erling Haaland.
Second Half:
Regardless of how boring the second half seems, Manchester City continue to dominate with more possession and goal attempts over their rivals. Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander Arnold came to their rescue, neutralizing Haaland’s first half-leading goal.
City remains top on the log with 29 points, which is just a point above Liverpool who relaxes in the second spot.
