Manchester City and Liverpool share the spoils at Etihad Stadium

Liverpool held Manchester City to a full-time draw of 1-1 at full time. Erling Haaland’s first-half strike and Trent’s second-half goal were the only goals in the tie.

With the Draw, Jürgen Klopp is yet to win against his arch-rival Pep Guardiola at the Etihad in over 8 years.

Erling Haaland continues his resplendent goal-scoring form, as the Norwegian has now scored 50 goals in the Premier League. His 15th goal this season is his first against Liverpool.

.First Half:

Haaland hit his 15th goal of the season after taking advantage of Allison Becker’s poor pull-out. Ake’s brilliant push and assist got the Norwegian the first goal in the highly intensified game in the 26th minute. After a pulsating 45 minutes, Manchester City led by a lone goal scored by Erling Haaland.

Second Half:

Regardless of how boring the second half seems, Manchester City continue to dominate with more possession and goal attempts over their rivals. Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander Arnold came to their rescue, neutralizing Haaland’s first half-leading goal.

City remains top on the log with 29 points, which is just a point above Liverpool who relaxes in the second spot.
