The leadership of the Labour Party has extended congratulations to Governor Alex Otti of Abia State on the completion of three years in office, describing him as the “finest outcome” of the party’s 2023 electoral performance.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa, who noted that Otti has, over the past three years, consistently proven that the Labour Party brings a distinct style of governance.
“His outstanding performance in office, widely acknowledged by several rating organisations across the country, has earned him the reputation of being Nigeria’s best performing governor.
“As a party, we are proud that the nation’s most impactful governor today is a product of the Labour Party.
“As the 2027 general elections gradually approach, we are confident that the good people of Abia will reward his remarkable leadership, bold reforms and transformative strides across critical sectors of the state economy,” it said.
The party further observed that despite distractions and opposition from certain individuals and groups within Abia, Otti has remained steady, focused and committed to delivering governance that prioritises the people.
“We congratulate him on this milestone and wish him greater success in his continued service to the people of Abia,” the party said.
