Singer Lojay did not confirm or deny a relationship with Folashade Adeleke, the daughter of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and a cousin of Davido, during a livestream with Gilmore on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
After Gilmore asked him directly whether they are dating, Lojay responded that he would answer elsewhere.
“I’ll have to answer that in the right place,” he said. “She’s amazing, bro. Amazing spirit and amazing soul. She’s very sweet.”
The answer differs from his earlier position. Back in August 2025, Lojay called her his best friend and said he was not ready for a relationship. “Fola is literally my best friend,” he said then. In November 2024, he told City 105.1 FM in Lagos that he sent her balloons and flowers for her birthday as a friendly gesture.
The interview followed two weeks of public attention. On Wednesday, September 30, a video on Instagram showed Lojay and Adeleke dancing closely to his new single, “Money Lingo”. Davido and Olamide commented on the clip. Chioma Adeleke, Davido’s wife, wrote “Sade,” a short form of Folashade’s name.
Fans also posted that Folashade, Lojay, and comedian Hypeman Ita were at the Quilox nightclub in Lagos on October 13.

Lojay discussed other topics in the livestream. He said he looked up to Davido while growing up and acknowledged his Yoruba heritage. His mother comes from Benin in Edo State and his father is from Ogun State.
He also named Zaylevelten as an artist he admires and said he wants to work with Bnxn, Rema, and Shallipopi. He praised Tems for the way she expresses emotion in her singing and hopes to collaborate with her soon. Lojay released “Monalisa” in 2021. He later released a remix with Chris Brown.
