First Half: John Stone’s excellent goal via a Kevin Debruyne corner in the 23rd minutes separated the teams after the first 45 minutes at Anfield. Liverpool, despite controlling the first half on 53% possession against City who managed 47%, Liverpool had a shot on target which came at the last kick of the first half. Second Half: Liverpool made a quick response, leveling in the 49th minute through Mac Allister spot’s kick. A horrible situation for Guardiola after Ake’s back pass was not enough for Ederson’s reach, resulting in the Brazilian fouling Darwin Núñez.
Arsenal and Liverpool now have 64 points but Arsenal lead on the log with the most goals difference with 46. City drop to the third place with a point adrift Arsenal and Liverpool.
