LinkedIn Surpasses 1 Billion Members, Unveils New AI Features for Subscribers

LinkedIn has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1 billion members.
The platform, owned by Microsoft, is now in the top tier of social media networks, putting it in the league of rivals like Meta Platforms.
About 80% of LinkedIn members are signing up from outside of the United States, underlining its global reach.
LinkedIn offers a free membership tier, but it also provides subscription options for its users.
Subscribers to the $39.99-a-month tier will now gain access to new artificial intelligence (AI) features that can enhance their job-seeking experience.
These new AI features can evaluate a user’s profile information and provide valuable insights, such as whether they are a suitable candidate for specific job postings.
Moreover, the system can recommend profile changes to increase a user’s competitiveness in the job market.
Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized that these AI tools are designed to help users transition from merely viewing job opportunities to making significant progress in their job searches during a single session.
In addition to the AI enhancements, LinkedIn has introduced a new feature that summarizes lengthy posts into key bullet points tailored to each user’s preferences and needs.
This tailored summary is expected to provide a more personalized experience for different professionals, such as sales professionals and stock brokers.
LinkedIn’s continuous expansion and integration of AI technology demonstrate its commitment to supporting its users in their professional journeys.
