Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information in Kogi State, stressed that Bello couldn’t have been involved in diverting funds in September 2015 because he hadn’t yet become governor.
The statement also criticized the EFCC’s methods, such as naming people as “at large” without solid evidence.
The government affirms its commitment to transparency and accountability, denying any wrongdoing regarding missing funds and highlighting its history of responsible financial management.
