The Kano Pillars’ caretaker coach, Ahmed Garba, recently shed light on why his team managed to secure an impressive away draw against Plateau United.
The match, held at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with Pillars taking the lead through veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali before Plateau United’s Sam Pam Jr equalized.
Garba attributed the commendable result to his team’s tactical setup and expressed confidence in their ability to achieve positive outcomes with fair officiating.
“We set up our team tactically,” he emphasized in a post-match interview, adding, “With good and quality officiating, we believe we can win anywhere.”
With 49 points from 37 games in this campaign, Kano Pillars have had a decent season. As they gear up for their final game against Lobi Stars, the former NPFL champions remain focused on finishing strong.
