Kaduna Massacre: We Will Be 100% Sure Henceforth- DHQ

Following the accidental bombing of several persons in Tudun Biri community, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna Sate by the drones of the Nigerian Army, last Sunday 3rd December 2023, the Nigeria Defence Headquarters have assured that such would not repeat itself.

Director of Defence Media Operations, Major Gen Edward Buba, gave this assurance while disclosing the causality figure of the aerial bombing. He maintained that henceforth the army would be more precise and 100% certain before bombing any target.

“Henceforth, we will be 100 percent sure of our target before we carry out bombings”.

The Major General revealed that while 81 persons were killed, 70 were injured.

Reacting to allegation by an Arewa group that said that the killing was aimed at reducing the population of the North, Gen Buba dismissed the insinuation stating that the armed forces of Nigeria is a professional force and have got members cutting across every tribe, religion and ethnic group in the country.

He said that it was faulty, erroneous and unpatriotic for the group to think in that direction.

“We should realize that it is not just the military that is at war, all the country is at war. We are in it together. The country is taking part in the war. We will make sure that going forward, we get more training, more understanding of the processes and protocols involved to make sure that next time, we are 100 per cent sure before we carry out bombings”. He added.

The Army General went further to call on Nigerians to assist the military in the fight against insecurity by providing it with helpful and timely information.
