JUST IN: Court Sentences Late Terrorist Leader Battujo’s Mother And Sister to 40 Years

The Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced the mother and sister of late terrorist kingpin Battujo to 40 years’ imprisonment each for their involvement in terrorism-related activities.

The judgment was delivered on Friday after the court found the two women guilty following investigations and prosecution conducted by the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to court proceedings, the convicted women were arrested for allegedly playing support roles in terrorist operations linked to the late kingpin.

The prosecution presented evidence establishing their involvement in activities connected to the terrorist network, leading to their conviction and subsequent sentencing.

The court imposed 40-year jail terms on each of the convicts, underscoring the judiciary’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at combating terrorism and safeguarding national security.

The conviction is seen as part of ongoing measures by security agencies and the judicial system to dismantle terrorist networks and bring all individuals involved in terrorism-related offences to justice.
