Former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has disclosed that he has never had an intimate relationship with another woman since marrying his wife, Sherifat.
Aregbesola made the revelation while speaking at a recent ADC rally in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
The former governor said his marital fidelity was a personal test he set for himself as part of his devotion to God.
According to him, his decision to remain faithful to his wife was driven by the fear of God and his commitment to serving Him.
Aregbesola acknowledged that such fidelity was uncommon among many men, saying he had made it a basis for a personal appeal to God.
“Oh Lord my God, if you are the one I am serving, and I did not add any other thing to it. What I am about to say, only a few men can say it: Because of your fear, I never had any intimacy with another woman since I married my wife,” Aregbesola said.
