“It was all jokes”- The idea to award Bobrisky as the best dressed Female

It is believed all types of publicity is good, be it good or bad and it seems that is the strategy the producers of beast of no nations are using.

Eniola Ajao, a well-known actress in Nollywood, has commented on the recent controversy surrounding the release of Beast of Two Worlds, her feature debut (Ajakaju).

The movie, which took place on March 24, gained popularity online because its organizers declared that well-known transvestite Bobrisky had won best dressed “female.”

Outrage was generated online when numerous celebrities, including Dayo Amusa, questioned the judges’ and announcer Femi Adebayo’s decision on social media.

Eniola Ajao, however, set the record straight in a recent interview with Arise News, stating that Bobrisky received the award to promote her upcoming film, which opens in theaters on Friday, March 29.

Eniola claims that the decision was made in an effort to attract notice and create excitement for the debut. She underlined that it was a purposeful action meant to increase the movie’s exposure and draw in more spectators.

She went on to say that Bobrisky’s provocative nature is the reason he was awarded the “Best dressed female” title.

“It was all jokes”, to use her own words. “All we want to do is have fun. We want the film to be discussed. My group and I came to the conclusion that it had to be in people’s faces.

“We therefore made the decision to award Bobrisky the Best Dressed Female title because of his long history of controversy. People began chatting about it at the end of the day, although some were not pleased.

“They began addressing Femi Adebayo, the award presenter. He was not one of the judges; he only delivered it. It wasn’t his idea. Please refrain from criticizing him, Nigerians”.
