Isaac Fayose Questions NNPCL Over Alleged Missing Trillions

—

Popular social commentator Isaac Fayose has sparked fresh debate online after questioning the management of funds at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and at Nigeria’s refinery projects.

Fayose questioned in a vehemently worded social media post the whereabouts of an alleged N210 trillion while also demanding accountability from anti-corruption agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission.

He also spoke out against the Federal Government’s most recent deal with a Chinese company, questioning why another refinery rehabilitation project was being sought despite claims that billions of dollars had been spent on prior refinery repairs over the years.

The News Chronicle reports that Fayose accused the ruling All Progressives Congress government of failing to properly account for public funds, insisting that Nigerians deserve greater transparency over the country’s oil revenues and infrastructure spending. His comments quickly gained traction online, with many users joining conversations about corruption, refinery operations, and the state of the economy.

The comments come as the public grows increasingly concerned about rising gasoline prices, economic hardship, and recurring government spending on refinery rehabilitation initiatives that fail to deliver a meaningful increase in local refining capacity.
