The Anambra State Police Command has assured residents of the state of its renewed commitment to maintaining law and order across the state.

Responding to a surge in jungle justice incidents in the state, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police Aderemi Adeoye warned the public against taking the laws into their own hands.

Adeoye emphasized that individuals resorting to jungle justice will face legal consequences, with cases taken to court.

In a statement from the Police Public Relations Office, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Commissioner disclosed that two suspects were earlier arrested in connection with a mob lynching that resulted in the death of some alleged criminals in the state.

While commending the people of Anambra State for their cooperation in the fight against insecurity across the state and the maintenance of law and order, the Police boss urged them to report any form of injustice directly to his Office.
