Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, says the president has been communicating with Nigerians daily since former U.S. President Donald Trump accused Nigeria of allowing the killing of Christians.
Speaking on Prime Time on Arise Television, monitored by The News Chronicle, Bwala dismissed claims that Tinubu had been silent on the matter.
“If the president speaks to Nigerians through tweets, is that not communication?” he asked. “Tweets and official statements are also forms of communication. President Tinubu speaks to Nigerians every day.”
Trump had recently designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” and warned of possible U.S. military action if attacks on Christians persist.
