I Will Not Leave NNPP, I Have No Plans To Leave- Yusuf

The Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has reacted to the appeal by his predecessor and current National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje calling on him and other opposition stakeholders in the state to join the party , the APC.

 Speaking through his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Yusuf stated that Ganduje did not follow the right channel to communicate his message.

Recalled that in a meeting of the APC in Kano on Thursday 25th January, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress asked Yusuf to decamp from the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) for the APC.

“We are appealing to those who want join APC to come. In particular, we are inviting the Governor of Kano and his NNPP to join APC.” Ganduje said.

Meanwhile reacting to this appeal, spokesman to governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said; “We heard that he is begging for the Governor to join the APC, what is surprising is Ganduje as a former governor and former Deputy Governor knows better than anyone the right channel to send a message to a sitting Governor.

Tofa noted that Governor (Abba Kabir Yusuf) does not have plans to leave his party and will not leave the party.
