Troops of Sector 2 under Operation HADIN KAI have intensified offensive operations against suspected remnants of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), destroying several terrorist camps and logistics structures during ongoing clearance operations in Yobe State.
According to intelligence sources, the operation is aimed at flushing out pockets of ISWAP fighters believed to have fled the Lake Chad Islands and the Timbuktu Triangle in search of refuge in inland communities within Gujba Local Government Area.
The sources disclosed that troops uncovered and destroyed multiple terrorist camps and life-support facilities used to sustain the fleeing insurgents during the operation.

The ongoing clearance exercise is currently focused on the areas of Mahdiyya, Lagarawa, Lamusheri, Ngarbai and Wulle, where troops are conducting systematic sweeps to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence and deny the insurgents freedom of movement.
Security sources said the operation forms part of sustained efforts by Operation HADIN KAI to dismantle terrorist networks, prevent their regrouping, and strengthen security across the North-East.
