Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Baba, has opened up about the biggest misconception surrounding him being labeled a “womaniser.”
In a candid interview with Voice of Nigeria, shared on Wednesday, the music icon reflected on love, fame, fatherhood, and the pressures of life under public scrutiny.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womaniser. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard,” 2Baba said.
The Afrobeat legend also spoke emotionally about fatherhood, describing the challenge of balancing a thriving music career with raising his eight children. While he expressed gratitude for his family, he admitted that not spending enough time with them remains a personal regret.
“I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively.
It does something to me sometimes. They’re amazing, brilliant people. I just wish I was there more. It touches me from all corners,” he revealed.
Through fame, fortune, and public perception, 2Baba insists his heart remains firmly in love and family a man misunderstood but deeply devoted.
