Tech giant, Elon Musk has expressed a favorable reaction to the possibility of an advisory role in a future Donald Trump administration.Â
This comes after Trump suggested he might offer Musk a cabinet position or advisory role if re-elected as President.
On Monday, Mr. Trump indicated that if he were elected, he might consider appointing Elon Musk to a cabinet position or an advisory role in his administration.
This statement followed Mr. Trump’s criticism of the $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicle (EV) purchases, which he suggested he might eliminate if he returns to the White House.
“Tax credits and tax incentives are not generally a very good thing,” Mr. Trump said after a campaign event in Pennsylvania. When asked about the potential of assigning Mr. Musk a role in his administration, Mr. Trump was clear: “He’s a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it, I certainly would. He’s a brilliant guy.”
Musk’s positive response on social media, which included a playful nod to Dogecoin with a “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” label, has fueled speculation about his potential involvement in a Trump administration.
He captioned the photo:
“I am ready to serve”.
Last month, Musk publicly endorsed Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
However, Musk has yet to confirm whether he would accept any official role within a Trump administration, leaving the possibility open and sparking ongoing speculation.
