The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success has said that the State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has invested heavily in Delta State’s Youths.
According to Ossai, Governor Oborevwori’s efforts in youth development have reduced the rate of unemployment in Delta State and have resulted in productivity among youths.
He said Oborevwori’s commitment to Youth Development is part of his campaign promises of empowering Delta’s Future Leaders across the state without sentiment.
“Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth development, recognizing the pivotal role young people play in shaping the state’s future.
“His administration has implemented various initiatives aimed at empowering, educating, and equipping Delta’s youth with the skills and resources needed to succeed.
“Over 100,000 youths have benefited from skills acquisition programs, entrepreneurship, grants and other valuable skills.
“Appointment of youths to key positions, leveraging their strengths and talents to drive growth and innovation.
“Employment of over 3,000 teaching and non-teaching staff to improve primary education, enhancing the learning experience for students.
“N500 million grants which the governor used in supporting traders and artisans, boosting economic activity and entrepreneurship.
“D-CARES program expanded by the governor by 205% (from 36,353 to 110,841 beneficiaries), providing vital support to vulnerable populations.
“The Governor has Provided training in areas like entrepreneurship, technology, and vocational skills to prepare youth for the job market and has also offered financial support to deserving students to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals while Providing access to capital and mentorship for young entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses.
“He has also invested in sports infrastructure and programs to discover and nurture young talents in various fields while Organizing workshops, conferences, and mentorship initiatives to develop leadership skills and civic engagement among youth.
“The governor has Generated thousands of jobs through infrastructure projects, agriculture, More Grants Skills, Delta Cares and other sectors to reduce youth unemployment.
“Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to youth development is a testament to his administration’s commitment to building a brighter future for Delta State.
